EHM Service

The EHM service is based on the 3 P’s (Profile, Predict, and Prescribe) and involves the collection, analysis and interpretation of hormones along with other performance measures.

  1. Hormones used to profile players during normal training and competition, by comparing hormonal data with various measures of performance (lifting power, RM strength, RPE, playing time, self-ratings, win-loss).
  2. Profiling data is then used to better prescribe exercise and training, along with warm-up and recovery strategies.
  3. This data may lead to the development of new strategies for improving training and competition performance, and enhancing player recovery.
  4. Profiling data will also be used to develop prediction models for future training and competition.

Since each athlete is genetically different and each sport has its own unique physical needs and requirements, the information gained will be used to address the specific needs and potential of individual athletes within their own sporting environment.

Benefits of EHM

  • Determine the optimal (and sub-optimal) hormonal conditions for warm-ups, training and competition
  • Determine the optimal (and sub-optimal) hormonal conditions for different physical tasks, such as speed, power and strength.
  • Determine the optimal (and sub-optimal) training method for general adaptation using hormones
  • Develop strategies for optimizing hormones for training and competition
  • Information to help prescribe exercise and training programmes more effectively and efficiently, and predict future performance
  • Additional hormonal feedback on fatigue and recovery, training and general stress, and travel and jet-lag effects
  • Individualized reports and sport-specific information
